BSLN Political Agenda

One of the main objectives of the Baltic Sea Labour Network (BSLN) is the development of a Political Agenda for Sustainable Labour Markets in the Baltic Sea Region. The Agenda will be prepared in cooperation with employer organizations, trade unions, politicians and academics.

By bringing together politicians as well as active participants and experts from the labour markets, the BSLN has created a forum and a network for the decision and policy makers of the Baltic Sea Region. Knowledge and ideas are combined within this structure in order to define the political agenda and to find ways to implement it.

Thematically, the BSLN looks for solutions to the consequences of the economic crisis and mobility of labour in the Baltic Sea labour markets by using social dialogue and active labour market policies.

The work includes transnational and national networking and promotion of social dialogue as well as joint activities, workshops and research. Three high level tripartite conferences are scheduled to take place over the course of the project in order to develop the political agenda.

The BSLN Political Agenda will be a combination of strategies, policy recommendations and practical solutions developed during the duration of the project.

The Political Agenda for Sustainable Labour Markets in the Baltic Sea Region will be published at the end of the project.
